Königsleiten Summer
On the border of Tirol and Salzburgerland, you will find the lovely and quiet village of Königsleiten.
Königsleiten lies between the beautiful Zillertal and Pinzgautal and it borders to the National Park Hohe Tauern.
Silence and rest. Beautiful nature. A ride on the mountain bike. Long or short walks directly from the chalet. Relax or walk by the lakes. The National Park Hohe Tauern is made for this. Our Chalets in Königsleiten has a view directed at the beautiful forest. With some luck, you can see squirrels and roe-deer's in the forest when you are inside the chalet.
Königsleiten is a lovely mountainvillage which contains from some Hotels, Restaurants, Apartments and quite some private chalets. As we said, Köningsleiten borders to the National Park Hohe Tauern and the Zillertalarena. Here you can practise all kinds of summer activities in one of Austria's finest nature.
Königsleiten is beautiful situated, surrounded by forest and is facing the sunny south. In the centre of Königsleiten is a big play grass-land with flowers where you can see the cows graze in the summer. To stay in Königsleiten is wonderful in the spring with all its flourishing flowers, in the summer with beautiful weather and wild rivers fed by the melting water from the mountains, in the fall with his flaming three's and of course in the winter as a unique skiing village.
You can make wonderful walks in the village self, with beautiful views over the mountains and the lake beneath. In this lake, it is possible to go fishing, swimming, sail or to surf. A visit to the observatory at the hotel ‘Sterngucker' in Köningsleiten is a great experience. The hotel Sterngücker has free animation activities for children during the whole week for the kids all over the village. At hotel Alpenrose you can rent tennis courts, you can midgetgolf and there are trampolines for the kids.
In the Kitzbühleralpen and the National Park Hohe Tauern, with their lovely villages where it looks like the time stood still, you can take beautiful walks and mountainbike tours. Would you rather enjoy bike tours on level ground, you can go to the Zillertal with all its villages. The highest waterfall of Europe, the Krimmlerwasserfalle, where you can take a walk going down the waterfall you can find in Krimml (a twenty minute drive from Köningsleiten). In Königsleiten, there is a supermarket where you can do you daily groceries (except for the middle seasons).
